The Cherokee Princess dogwood is a beautiful and unique variety of dogwood tree that is native to the southeastern United States. It is known for its large, showy flowers, which can be up to 6 inches in diameter. The late spring flowers are white with a pink center that last for several weeks before giving way to small fruits (inedible to humans) that attract and provide for birds and other wildlife. As a relatively small tree, the Cherokee Princess dogwood makes a good choice for small yards and gardens. The tree is also relatively low-maintenance, and is tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions.
