Exceptionally sweet, buttery dessert pear
Ayers produces medium-sized pears with fine-grained, melting flesh and a rich, honey-like sweetness balanced by mild acidity. The fruit is excellent for fresh eating but also performs well in preserves, baking, poaching, and canning. Harvest just before full ripeness and allow the pears to finish ripening indoors for the best flavor and texture.
