Key Characteristics

Rich, buttery nuts with exceptional flavor
Butternut produces elongated, lemon-shaped nuts enclosed in sticky green husks that ripen in early autumn. The sweet, oily kernels have a rich, buttery flavor often considered superior to English walnuts. They are excellent for fresh eating, baking, candies, cookies, nut butters, and traditional recipes. The nuts are also an excellent source of healthy fats, protein, magnesium, and antioxidants.
